Very slow for me. I almost DNF but pushed through. I just found that I didn't really care for the world or characters that this author created. It wasn't badly written (it was very poetic at points) but overall it just didn't draw me in. I probably wouldn't recommend this to anyone.
I loved the first two books of this series, but this ending is bad enough that I don't recommend them at all. Xander's character changed to make him completely flat, and many questions that could have been wrapped up in an interesting way were left unanswered. This book is mainly describing a disease repeatedly without actually even explaining that fully. I really wish I liked this book, because the first two were very well thought-out. I think this one was just rushed.

I have a disease... I have to finish a book/series to find out what happens even if I am so completely frustrated I want to scream! This book was awful and I knew it would be before I started since i didn't enjoy the first two in the series. Still I had to read it. I don't like the characters in these books at all. Cassia makes me sick with her crazy ky obsession and ky is completely unlikable i dont get what the big deal with him is. They don't really have any progression throughout the series either. Blah!

I went into this book having no idea what to expect.
I should've expected amazingness.
This was by far the best book in the trilogy, and I was so happy with the ending! I was not disappointed at all!
Then there was the little twist at the end when my jaw dropped and I just gasped, "THAT'S BRILLIANT!"
So yeah, read it.

This book is faster paced than the other two. It has a completely different feel to it. In this book the true characters come out and shine as they all face their own challenges. However, I feel as though the ending left information out that leaves the reader wondering.
The way Indie dies seems too convenient for the timeline of the book. She dies after having kissed Ky because having her alive changes the chemistry between Cassie and Ky. It feels like the author just killed her because it is easier than having her alive.
Okay this book was definitely NOT what I expected. I’m not even sure what I expected but it wasn’t this, but not to say it’s absolutely horrible or anything. I did enjoy it. I caught myself not wanting to put it down because I wanted to know what happened. But the plot was pretty monotonous, honestly. The Plague, a cure, blahblahblah. I guess I just didn’t connect to it how I wanted to. There were definitely parts I enjoyed , especially some things that I wasn’t expecting, little plot twists, but all in all nothing spectacular. I must say I enjoyed it a lot more than Crossed, and felt we had a bit more action going on. But there could’ve been more!!! I felt like there were a lot of cop outs for explaining things, and the whole “the society is the same as the rising” was just an excuse for there not to be more action, even though I DID understand it. There were a LOT of info dumps that tbh my brain did not comprehend and i had to reread them a few times because my brain was not prepared for all that information at once. All in all the series was a solid 3 stars, and I probably wouldn’t read them again, but i might suggest them to someone looking for something to read that doesn’t have high expectations!
