100% of the proceeds goes to a great cause. How do you NOT 5-star that?

:(

Loved the artwork. And as usual the cheeto-twat just annoyed the hell out of me. I was surprised that there weren't more tweet-quotes.

Thank goodness this book of annoyances is raising so much money to aid those in need. No matter who they are or what they believe in. The massive destruction done by the hurricane didn't care about the victims' religion, race, gender, or political beliefs.

Thank you Stephen Colbert and the Late Show staff for doing this.

A bit long for the conceit.
funny lighthearted fast-paced

Cuz yikes, am I right?!

Guys I'm gonna get a little political here. Brace yourselves.

Man if there was ever a time I felt like I was cheating on my Goodreads book challenge it is now. In the interest of full disclosure I will say I did not know the story behind this before I read it so my initial impression has changed with a bit more information.

The good folks over at the Late Show With Stephen Colbert thought they'd have a spot of fun with President shit for brains over some of his, shall we say (because we are for some reason feeling super, super generous today), ill considered words during the aftermath of hurricane Florence. He was apparently making brainless comments relating to a boat that had washed ashore near a survivor's house. He like got completely obsessed over this boat and who owned and what it was doing there. Among other things that boggle the mind he congratulated the family with "at least you got a nice boat out of the deal."

Excuse me for a second my eyes have just rolled so far back in my skull I've gone blind.

Where were we? Right the boat and its super lucky new owners. So, interested in actually doing something to help the people affected by the storm the good folks at Mr. Colbert's show have put together this book, entirely written by el presidente (in the sense that they've taken his quotes and put them in a book) and then donate 100% of the proceeds to the survivors and victims who are, incidentally, a looooonnnnggg way from getting back to normal.

Knowing that I think I can let it slide that this is neither the funniest nor cleverest lambasting of the dipshit in the Whitehouse that I have seen. It's also not the worst and its for a good cause.

Do yourself a favor and read a few articles about this before you grab the book. Because I was confused as all get out when I read it the first time. Also while giving to charity is very nice this is NOT worth buying. It's silly and the illustrations are terrible, which I think might be on purpose though what that purpose is beyond "boy is the president stupid" I'm not sure. Everything looks very "Saturday T.V. Funhouse" like the pictures were dashed off on someone's coffee break and I'm pretty sure it's set in very, very large comic sans.

But hey, its for a good cause.

Short and stupid!

OMG! he actually said these things.
100% goes to hurricane relief.
Leaf reads "This is the first book he has written all by himself."

Oh my goodness, it is so terrible that this book exists but kudos to the late show for not shying away from the terrible because it does definitely exist.
