Why is it over?!?!!!??! 😭😭 Too busy mentally screaming to process writing an actual review yet. I wasn’t ready for the epilogue being crazy brother Cade, who’s book I was already so looking forward to, or for it to be that freaking good in just a couple pages. I think I’m honestly mad now, idek at this point. Not sure if it counts as a cliffhanger since it’s a new book/new couple and all that, but it freaking feels like a freakin cliffhanger 😭 lol.

STOPPPPPP the way I DEVOURED this book is insane!!! While this isn't the first book I've read by Cora Rose, Lark Taylor is a new author for me, but let me tell you after this book, I'm FOR SURE reading other books as well.
I enjoyed reading this book so much! The chemistry and TENSION between Mattias and Wyatt was something else. This was the kind of book where once you start reading it, it has you HOOKED and you wouldn't want to put it down. I just don't know what to say other than I loved it😭😭
and that ENDING????? I can't wait until the next book comes out!

Wyatt and Matthias grew up together as best friends but an unfortunate turn of events caused them to separate. Now Wyatt finds himself down on his luck and running out of time. In the city they live in, there is a secret society called The Firm that will grant you anything you desire, in exchange for a favor they can call upon at any time. Back out of the favor, and you forfeit your life. Wyatt has no other choice, and makes his wish known to them. As his needs are met, Wyatt and Matthias are thrown together once again and have to learn how to navigate the bargain together.
I absolutely loved the secret society aspect of this. Throw in some forced proximity and the “second chance” - everything just meshed so well. The ending could honestly be guessed, but the way this book was written had me changing my guess at every turn. The flashbacks were so well placed, I just loved how we got to see the past running up to the present and the way they came together.
What a way to start off a new series. The supporting characters had me ROLLINGGG (Dalton omg I NEED his book asap). I loved how different the brothers were, their personalities were unique and piqued my interest. I will most definitely be continuing this series.
