I love mafia romances, but what made this special is that the heroine is Black. I love to see Black girls falling in love, and while this is a novella, we see the beginnings of that. Katrina Jackson gave just enough to make you want more of Shae and Salvatore and I can’t wait to see what happens next.
3.5 stars. I liked it. I just need the rest of their story.

meh, wasn't super intrigued by the story, probably cause it was so short. The steamy scene was fine, the rest of the story didn't really interest me. It did end on a cliffhanger kind of I guess? But I probably won't continue the series. Did help me out of my reading slump though so that's a plus.

A quick age gap erotic romantic story that ends in a slight cliff hanger. Shae is on her dream Italian vacation but discovers her boyfriend of many years is actually kind of the worst. She ditches him to enjoy her dream day of eating all the pizza in Naples and leaves with the memory of delicious carbs and a delicious encounter with an older Italian man.
I'll look forward to seeing where this series goes! Short, quick, and dirty, but also poignantly sad in some parts.

C’était bien mais sans plus, j’ai lu en diagonale l’épilogue et ça m’a pris un bon mois pour finir les dernières pages parce que la fin m’intéressait pas plus que ça.
ummm.... where is the rest? I NEED MORE. There is cheating but it didn't bother me at all. I really need to know what happens next.
