yall need a summary? I got u
DO NOT READ IF U HAVENT READ THE BOOK YET

Okay so basically u remember those homies that were friends when they were little and loved each other their whole lives and FINALLY got together and then the guy got into a car crash right and then the girl tried to kill herself?
Okay so this is the sequel basically so they had so many plans and stuff for the future and right before he died in the crash she (autumn) got pregnant which is like OOF and so she was basically like 🎶Suicidal🎶 and tried to kill herself cuz like finny was the only reason she wanted to live and she was already clinically depressed cuz that was like a hereditary thing so that was pretty bad and so the guy who died in the crash (Finn) his bestie was also super depresso espresso and basically couldn’t do anything without thinking about him and basically iced everyone out and broke up with his girlfriend and made a new friend at college so that was good they bonded over having dead friends which is real cheery anyways so yeah things were finally looking up for him and so then we go back to autumn who was still in the hospital and she was like frick I’m pregnant so now I gotta have the baby to carry on Finn or whatever cheesy stuff that was so now she’s basically buying clothes and stuff for the baby and just dealing with the excessive grief about Finn not being there with her and just seeing him everywhere and just wondering if the baby’s gonna die and they’re all gonna die one day and anyways so she starts going to group therapy and meets this girl who’s literally been THROUGH IT ALL and reconnects with her high school friend who has a kid and so she’s like yeahhhh but then also she has these moments of like death? And then she’s like nahhhhhh but the baby and so yeah and then at the end she’s basically like everything’s gonna be fine except the ultrasound says the baby has a tiny hole in its heart but like whatever it’s fiiiiine

This book is split up into three parts Finny’s, Jack’s, and lastly Autumn’s. I enjoyed seeing other perspectives but I wish we also got Sylvie’s or that we saw more of her in general I felt it would have matched the theme of healing this book has since she has a lot of healing to do herself.

I wish there was an opportunity for a character besides Jack, who wasn’t really focused on, in the first book to express their grief— like Sylvie.
