I wanted to love this book because it gave Diviners vibes not only with the audiobook narrator, but the cast of characters too. I loved the LGBTQIA along with the BIPOC cast, but the pace did kill me. I did enjoy the mythology, mystery, and plot twists that were built in although I did guess a few of them. I do think this is one of the books I would enjoy more as an adaptation.

wtf did i just read? the imagery was fantastic but the sentence structure and grammar typos were so bad lol
there were hardly any transitional parts so the reader could follow. that made the book pretty choppy and i really only finished it because i was curious about the ending. i think the book was entirely too long for the plot and there were SO many unnecessary characters here it got confusing.
