I didn't like this at first. Zane was too brash and trashy until I found out why he puts on that front. I couldn't really see how they where going to overcome all their trash talk about each other and actually grow a mutual liking.
However, the story grew on me. The steam level is high, and even though I am pretty desensitized to sex scenes (bdsm and otherwise), this stood out, turned my crank, and kept me interested throughout.
The drama peak left a tiny tear in my eye, which is always a plus in my book.
All in all, a good reading experience.

read this before i found out about all the problematic things one of the authors has done. didn't really like this anyway but i'll be leaving no rating
My first impression of Mature Content:
Hassell and Erickson have done it again. Mature Content is my 2nd favorite book in the Cyberlove Series. I gravitated to Beau and Zach, like a moth to a flame. The chemistry between these two sizzled like a live wire. I lived for every snarky quip, hair flip and steamy hookup. The sexual tension between these two was palpable and I knew from the moment these two started going toe to toe, their connection would be explosive both sexually and emotionally.
At first glance, our two MC’s are galaxies apart.
If one were to look up the definition of “Live out loud”, Zach’s picture would be used to define that term. He embodies it. Zach's fearless, 100% comfortable in his skin as a self-described power bottom, and very frank about what he wants and how he likes it. Zach's fans love him because he's so upfront, raw and funny. His candidness appeals to me as well :)
Beau, on the other hand, is the poster child of a conservative all-American, apple pie, button down gay man. Or so we (and Zach) are led to believe. Beau’s vibe is one of positivity, motivational, walk the line essentially molding "gay" to suit the pallet of our binary society. In other words, on paper, Beau is as boring as anyone can get, a cookie cutter character with zero personality. Little did we know underneath all that proper “vanilla” beats the heart of a kinky (ish), dirty talking, sexual dominant fully capable of rocking Zach’s world ( and ours) and boy did he ever!
I enjoyed every minute spent turn each page dying to learn how this relationship would unfold. I smirked as they fell hard in lust and gradually in love with each other. The story started out a bit hot and heavy leading with their sexual exploration first (which I’m thankful for), because watching the relationship grow beyond that was an even sweeter experience since all that kinetic tension was finally set on the back burner, to simmer. Beau and Zach’s moments of vulnerability were heart-wrenching and had me tear up a time or two, I felt for Zach when Beau humiliated him. I felt for Zach as I read about his tumultuous relationship with the people he shares genetics with ( I refuse to call them parents). And I felt for Beau when he was forced to acknowledge the truth of what Zach has always said about Beau’s Youtube persona and brand.
I really hate spoilers and try to avoid them at all cost. What I will say however is that this book was an excellent read. Hassell and Erickson, breathed new life into an overdone trope. Their approach of incorporating today’s social media, cons etc to drive the story, made this an epic reading adventure that today’s kids can relate to. You can read this as a stand alone, however; I recommend you read book 3 first to fully appreciate the supporting characters that make appearances in this book. As a matter of fact read the entire series. I absolutely love it, especially book 2 ( and this one).
Happy Reading!

Yes, I know. But I already owned this. And I love this series (*cries*). And so I read it. And I'm going to review with blinders on right now.
And damnit, this book made me cry! Zane and Beau are both so beautifully broken and it takes them a while to find all the pieces, and they're definitely still working on putting them back together. But it is so damn satisfying to watch them come together and learn to trust and build something deeper than lust. Bane all the way, man.

Mature Content is my favourite of the series and I'm really excited to read the next book whatever it is because I feel like Megtino are really hitting their stride. I really loved the hate to love trope in this. I loved the drama of fighting youtubers. It kind of felt like a bit of a call out to certain youtubers at times which made me laugh a lot.
At times this book felt less heavy than the previous books but then you get hit with the characters being super self diminishing and it was so relatable. The pair definitely have more ups and downs than the others which I think was really good because otherwise I think Beau could've been a bit boring but bringing Zane into his life made him fun to read.

Between three and four stars. It would probably help if I stopped accidentally reading these books out of order.
Back to great! The last book in the series i didn't really like but i was waiting with trepidation for Beau & Zane's story. I LOVED this book SO much. I liked all the dynamic hate/love, the evolution of their relationship and the blossoming of their love. And they are so sweet and cute together!!!! They are my fav >3
And grapefruit scent is amazing LOL

when someone says enemies to lovers (and hate fuck), this is the book that comes to mind. I just love the dynamic here.
I love the 180° that happens by the end - of the relationship and! the characters. I love the genuine character growth, i love the tenderness and trust given and earned... I simply love this book.
(and the funny part is, non of the character are my favorite here, i just like the story that much)

I know they were going for this whole enemies to lovers thing but I didn't believe in Zane and Beau's relationship development what so ever.
