These comics are so much fun. I’m loving the additional world Spurrier and Co. have created and how alien they make it seem. We all know the labyrinth with the Goblin King looking like Ziggy Stardust. But the Owl King adds a level of unreachability to it that makes it seem otherworldly even more, and scarier. I think, especially so far, it creates a truer villain because it’s so much harder to relate to this anthropomorphized being that hasn’t shown any admirable qualities.

And I like where #8 ended and how it parallels with Sarah’s foray into the ballroom. Time for a fantasy within a fantasy, it looks like. I have two more on my desk right now so we’ll see where the story goes.
