As the final installment of Armentrout's Covenant series, I had very mediocre expectations. I haven't seen many authors in this genre pull off a 5th book very well - or a 6th, 7th, etc. After three books, the story starts to feel like its forced. And there were still times when I felt the same way about this book. I had managed to make it through the first four books, though "unscathed" might not be the right word, and I thought I knew what to expect from this book - yet I read it anyway...
So, let me just say that I did not expect the ending to occur quite the way it did. In order to elaborate, I would have to give away a lot, so I'll just say that it kind of seems like Armentrout wrote one ending, then everyone was crying and pissed because it wasn't the ending they wanted, so she scrambled for a way to make the ending different and happy...maybe I'm completely wrong. Maybe she had that planned from day one (I doubt it), but it felt fake. Like, "Oh, you didn't like that? Well...um...then, here! All better!" Anyway, not sure I'm making my point, but whatever.
Overall, the series gets a hearty 3 stars, but none of the books stood out as particularly well written or even well executed. They were all very unimpressive even though they were entertaining. On to the next!

This is the last book in the Covenant series and it was amazing.
It is a very fast paced book with lots of action, drama and some heart break. I think it was a great end to the series. Finally after all that talk about Titans we get to meet one and in true JLA fashion he is deadly , sexy and funny. Wish we would have seen more of the Titans, but that was ok.

I won’t break this down like a regular review because this is the 5th book in the series and quite frankly I’m too lazy to do it at the moment.

What I will note is I wasn’t sure what I was getting into with this older series. I enjoyed the author’s more recent series and since I’m impatiently waiting for the next books in those, I decided to read one she did that was complete. I’m glad I did because it has all the things I like. A little mystery, humor, enemies to lovers, forced proximity, action, romance, etc.

The ending of this book just about broke me. If you love fantasy romance with action, read this series. Just know the romance is a very slow burn and not as spicy as other fantasy romance books, but the love story is sublime.

I'm a mess!

This book and the whole series was amazing. I can't believe more people aren't reading this.

Alex: She went through so much and she always found a way to get back on her feet. She had grown so much from the 1st book. Maybe my favorite heroine ever!

Aiden: One word: PERFECT!!! He's almost my all time best book-boyfriend! and that's saying something (Styxx - sherrilyn Kenyon is first :p) I simply adored everything he said and did from the first page of the first book to the last

Seth: You will hate him, then love him then hate him then ADORE him! I'm so excited that he has his own series

So I recommend this series to anyone who wants to laugh, cry, read about a girl who kicks butt, a ninja and well .. Seth :)

Wow! Talk about unexpected.

I was so afraid of what would happen in this book. I was afraid for the characters(I didn't want to see Aiden heartbroken) and I was afraid that the end wouldn't be satistying.

And while I can't tell you what happened on the end(duh...), I can say, without a doubt, that this series had a very satisfying end. And since there is a spin-off series, I even more happy because I get to see what happens afterwards.

This is a great series and I'm really glad that I decided to give Jennifer L. Armentrout another go after the disaster that was the Lux Series(for me it was, at least). Can't wait to read more...

This is the end, it is finished, done and over. I am thrilled to have finished up a series and saddened that a fun ride has come to an end. Apollo. Hades, Zeus, Ares, and all the other Gods will be missed. It was a long and bloody road, heartbreaking potholes and heartwarming pit stops all along the way. Wicked was not alway just evil and mean and good was not as pure and innocent as it seemed. It was a good ride that ended with a HEA to sooth the burns and bruises left in the wake of war.
