This is the book that got me into romance and cemented my favorite tropes. The secret love that Stella and Luka have for each other? Unmatched.

Lovelight Farms follows Stella who owns a quickly failing Christmas Tree farm that enters a contest to try to get some money to help the farm. However, she lies on the application and says she owns it with her boyfriend. When she asks her best friend, Luka, to help her out by pretending to be her boyfriend, they might discover something more.
I'm going to be totally honest that friends to lovers isn't my favorite trope. I don't think that the stakes are ever high enough for why they can't be together especially in contemporary romance. Honestly I was more frustrated with these two for the fact that Stella kept making these excuses as to why she couldn't be with Luka and being so blind to the fact that he was very obviously in love with her.
I thought their sexual tension was done so well in this book and that really drove me to keep reading. I really liked all the characters in this and I was interested to see how they would go about saving the farm in this. This book wasn't so much about the fake dating but about two people finding their feelings for each other and how to deal with it. I really loved the side characters in this book and thought they were all so well done. It made me excited for the other books in this.
I absolutely did love the Christmas vibes this book gave off as well. I thought this was such a fun book to read around the holidays as it really puts you in the mood and I loved seeing how well these characters work together.
I would also say there is a little mystery in this book that I thought was solved a little too easily but I still enjoyed this book.
I would say if you are intersted in reading this book and like friends to lovers, definitely pick this up. It was a really good book.

One of the best friends to lovers EVER! I loved this book so so much, I know I will read it over and over again. Stella and Luka have the perfect love story and the setting just makes it even better. I can’t believe I existed with this book for my book shelves unread for months! <3

I absolutely loved thisss - would have 100% read it in one sitting if I hadn’t had work in the morning
The relationships between the characters felt real and fleshed out and I really believed in the couples tho I wish we’d gotten a bit of a closer glimpse into at least one of the side character romances that are briefly mentioned
Overall so so glad I finally got around to reading this I had a great time :)

you literally got me when it says the book is fake dating & best friends to lovers!! LITERALLY LOVE THESE TROPES SO MUCH. and oh my gosh, b.k. absolutely DELIVERED in giving all the best parts of besties to lovers that i love - the angst, the mutual pining, “i’ve always been in love with you”, “i don’t want us to ruin our friendship” AHHH. i had the best time, i LOVED the side characters (and can’t wait to read their books!!), and loved the small town so much.
