Twisty thriller perfection. This is the first book I have read by C.L Taylor and certainly won't be the last. With warming characters, and gripping storyline. This is an addictive pageturner that keeps you guessing throughout.

Wow. Brilliant. I was hooked. A well deserved five stars. Highly recommend to you all. I won't forget this story in a rush! I kept forgetting to breathe towards the end it was that intense. I did not expect that outcome at all! It's wierd how everything can link together even if you're far from home.
From the beginning you can tell Jo has some personal issues to deal with and live with, her character doesn't have much confidence. I felt sorry for Jo as she was being framed and used yet not everyone believed her. I personally think she's a good mother and it wasn't her fault she's got agoraphobia, but I must say she did handle things the wrong way.
I loved the cliffhanger of an ending... Cheeky! Leaving the reader to finish the story for themselves. I also loved the cover. A cleverly written story that makes the reader think and keeps them on the edge of their toes!

A cool little YA fiction that is a bit espionage, a bit thriller, and takes place in a "reform school." The most unbelievable part was that two siblings, who didn't even do anything THAT bad, were both sent away to the school by their step-dad? Like, who actually deals with their children who are acting like normal mildly rebellious teens that way?

This book started off with a good jump start. The premise was interesting. When Jo's daughter is threatened by a stranger called Paula the panic that she experiences is what every mother would feel and I was so excited to see where this story would go.
Would Jo overcome her anxieties and mental health issues to protect her daughter?
However, despite the good fast paced start. The story actually fell flat. It felt too bitty and some parts unnecessary. There was just too much going on with Paula, her husband, her mental health issues, her mum, her step-dad, the landlady, the landlady’s tragic past and whilst it does all come together it felt pointless at times and didn’t add any interesting depth to the story.
The ending didn't throw any surprises into the mix either. I wasn't blown away by this story. It was an OK read but not one of her best books.
