Vinnie and Chance experimented with each other during high school. Vinnie came out as gay and Chance felt pressure to stay straight and get married. Now as a widowed father of a young son, Chance meets up with Vinnie and the connection is still there. But will Chance finally come out and have a relationship with Vinnie or will having a son be the end of a future together? With great characters this is another great read in this series and a look forward to more.

What a great series

My only wish is that they were on kindle unlimited. But I can't stop reading them. Each is riddled with sadness, only to have those that suffer find the light at the end of the tunnel.

i can't decide if this is my favorite book in the series or choosing happy. either way it's close. i absolutely loved this book! chance and vinnie were absolutely sweet together and i adore second chance romances. i'm glad the angst didn't carry on for too long. the ending was absolutely perfect! and i was so excited about tony too! i wondered if he was gonna get some love!!

I've read many of this authors books before as well as audiobooks. This was an audiobook. It's was a m/m contemporary story. Old school friends find each other again, miscommunication nearly ends their relationship before it can re kindle. I'll be reading more from this series.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review

Vinnie is a bartender who has not wanted to find anyone to settle down with since his true love took off with a girlfriend after high school. Chance was afraid to be himself and of his feelings for Vinnie, so he got a girlfriend, left for college, and got married. 8 years later, with Chance's wife gone and him left with his son, he sees Vinnie again and they get a second opportunity to experience the love they had years earlier. Having a son complicates things, but the two guys find their friendship and chemistry is just as strong as it used to be.

I really enjoyed this book. There was the perfect amount of sweetness to miscommunication angst. It was short, but not too short for me to really enjoy the characters and get connected to them. I would've loved more of them, and I hope to get more glimpses of them in other books in the series.

Frankly more of a 3.5 but I rounded up. Very simple tale about a couple of relatable guys who met in high school. Had a 3 month thing going on and then when school starts, one pretends the other doesn't exist and gets a girlfriend. I love this particular trope. Now almost 10 years later and they meet by happenstance. Sweet story. Just a trifle too simplistic imo. I liked both MCs bit they could have cleared up things by communication but then we wouldn't have gotten this lovely story. Not a lot of heat but I did like the way Vinnie handled things. This is the second book I've read in this series and had no trouble following. Definitelycan be a standalone. There are a couple of boo boos that the author's editor missed but nothing that takes you out of the story. Sweet hea. Sort of light, simple and frothy. Good read if you are suffering from a book hangover.
