I blew through this book because it was a great balance of acknowledging real issues and challenging topics while being lighthearted and charming. I thought it was sweet and was  written by a trans person which is clear in the best way. Would recommend to people looking to incorporate more trans stories into their lists.

There’s a lot I really loved about this book: Diverse representation of trans characters through completely different experiences and personalities, Erica’s heart wrenching chapters are balanced by Abigail’s savage humor, which made me laugh out loud, I loved her character so much. The dialogue is stellar and the different POV voices were meaningful indications of the characters’ states of minds. The one quibble I had was the friendship between Erica and Abigail was soooo inappropriate for teacher/student interactions, it was hard to buy into some of their scenes.
