This was actually better then a lot of the queer romances that I had read in the past. The two MCs were distinct in their own chapters, there was dialogue that didn't seem forced and the pacing of the novel kept my attention. For a contemporary romance, it did pretty well compared to others that I have read in the past.

This was your typical, ‘I’m in love with my best friend but he’s straight’ love story. I know they talked about not wanting to be a gay for you trope but that’s the vibe I got from this book. It was also frustrating at times when they would agree to be just friends but the next chapters he’s giving Kelly a blow job and I’m like excuse me? What happened to being just friends?

It would of been fine if it happened once or twice but once it got over that I was done. Other than that I enjoyed the story and their relationship. I loved the points when Blue would get jealous of Kelly’s friends and dates.
