Blue and Kelly’s relationship is slowly but surely developing. Can’t wait to continue the rest of the series! I’m definitely coming back for more SE Harmon.

I liked the book, but I didn't buy the bi-awakening for a minute. It's hard for me to put a finger on, but Blue was presented as such a boob man with no interest in male bodies for the first 20% of the book that his "oh, I've always had the hots for you and always been in love for you" seemed so fake.

Sometimes this straight-friend-to-lover works, and sometimes it doesn't. I liked both Kelly and Blue; I liked their friends and family; I didn't like how fast their relationship shifted.

I am reading the sequel, so I must be invested, but this is not my favorite.

A thoroughly enjoyable sports romance with lots of feels

I really liked this sports romance from S.E. Harmon.

As it's book one in a duology, I knew I'd only be getting the start of the romance but what's here is very well done.

It would work just as it is, with a pretty strong HFN ending but I'm glad to know there will be more.

I thought the narrative worked well in introducing not only each character but the thread of sexual awakening that Blue goes through.

I loved Kelly, he's a study in contrasts that I found inherently loveable. Blue was a chill kinda guy but he took a bit more warming to, not because he was deliberately putting them through the ringer but because he was harder to get a read on.

I liked that he'd already started to wake up to his feelings before he was called out on them by his mate on the team, who I loved to bits!

I also loved the setting, Kelly's family and his friends, and the teammates who seemed to gave Blue's back.

A really solid bisexual awakening without it feeling too much 'gay for you'.

Blue and Kelly!!!

These two are full of love but it takes one longer than the other to realize it’s there. I’m glad Kel stood up and said what he wanted and put Blue in his place finally. Too see Blue break out of his head with the help of his friend E was everything because I was getting frustrated with the toxic levels these two were playing around with lol. But it worked, now I’m on to their next book and I can’t wait to see where they go from here!

Ok this is super cute. Admittedly part of my love for it could be because the narration was done by Alexander Cendese and I really like his work.

Both guys are really adorable in their own way, well intentioned, so you can't be mad at them even when they're refusing to communicate and insisting on hiding their feelings. One is a bit of a himbo, not fully realizing his feelings, and the other is a bit sarcastic, it's fun to be in his head.

I think this whole book should have been fro only one characters perspective. 90% of the book was anyway. I understand that the other perspective is important so the reader knows for sure everything is ok, making this a fairly low-anxiety book.
