I’m typically not into stories about closeted folks struggling at the expense of a partner who is out, but when you add in this level of obliviousness I think it works. I was juuuuuust starting to hate Blue when the author brought him around.

Blue and Kelly have my heart completely. A rare 5⭐ rating. The two books together tell a perfect love story.

Not as good the second time around. May just be the narrators.

Look, I love a bi awakening story. And I love a best friends to lovers story. But this? This was not it for me. First of all, these two did NOT feel like they had a years-long history as best friends. They felt like...casual friends/acquaintances at best. The conversations they had felt stilted. And while I didn't mind the romance, I felt like they didn't have the dynamic I wanted them to have as best friends.

Ultimately, this was fine but also I won't bother to read the second book. So there's that.

Questo libro è un esempio perfetto del bi awakening di un personaggio che non cada nel classico gay4you che spesso viene fuori, cambiando il carattere del personaggio dall'oggi al domani e rendendolo cieco agli uomini tranne che per l'interesse amoroso.

Le dinamiche sono, più o meno, quelle ma qui è stato trattato in modo completamente diverso e realistico. Abbiamo un ragazzo che si sta scoprendo pian piano. Perché non è facile accettarlo se per trent'anni non si è mai avuto un interesse simile. Inizia a vedere, quindi, le cose in modo differente notando la bellezza e le particolarità di altri uomini a cui prima non avrebbe nemmeno fatto caso. E, quindi, non soltanto verso l'altro protagonista che, in altri casi, cancella completamente l'esistenza di altri uomini, rendendolo, appunto, un g4y. Cosa che dovrebbe essere, a parer mio, superata in quanto poco realistico e piuttosto scontato.

Quindi vediamo l'accettazione graduale di Blue e dei suoi sentimenti. E Kelly che non se ne sta a crogiolarsi nell'attesa che Blue prenda una decisione. Inoltre ho adorato tutti i suoi pov super divertenti ma anche tristi in certi casi. Ma poi ho adorato Kelly in generale
