Let's say i enjoyed this book, but the dialogues are not credible.
It looks like a sad story... If they were your friends, fighting all the time, and being so stressed, you would think:" I hope they split!". For their own good. It's not a matter of coming out, being gay. Anything related to that. They really look like a sad, mismatch couple.

I really enjoyed the humor. But most of all I enjoyed a relationship that had meat to it. They had been best friends for 17 years. You could feel in the words the depth of their life experiences and wealth of feelings they've shared over the years. It was a believable story, with people who acted like drama llamas when you would expect them to act that way... not just to further fuel a problem. I liked being able to relate to someone by thinking "boyfriend, I would be saying/doing the exact same thing...".

I'm going to wait to read the 2nd book for a while. I want to let them enjoy their beautiful, loving, harmonic relationship in my mind for a while before finding out what is going to go wrong because of outside influences.

(the bi-awakening, if you could even call it that was as weak as an overcooked noodle. It was just Blue fucking women and saying he's straight until he one day after effectively cockblocking Kelly, and fucking him occasionally before verbally assaulting his feelings on repeat, decides he wants to be with Kelly AFTER 95% of the book. I'm exhausted.)

I'm sorry but what part of this book was cute and sweet???

Blue was a literally CRUEL and could not have given LESS FUCKS about Kelly's feelings/wellbeing if he tried.
And Kelly had NO SELF RESPECT, AND NOT 1 CRUMB OF BACKBONE.

me looking for Kelly's spine:

hint: he doesn't have one.

He just lets his bestfriend control his life, fuck him sometimes, and then allows Blue to shit on him. (not literally, I mean metaphorically)
