this was so wonderful and the illustrations were stunning! read this out loud to my girlfriend which greatly enhanced the reading experience

I think that representation in stories like this matters. Queer people don’t really get a place in fairytales. The color scheme and art style of this book were beautiful. There were a few moments that made my heart warm. However, a lot of the stories felt too brief or underdeveloped. It felt like the author tried to mimic the general fairytale format but didn’t spend quite enough time with each one.

I've seen many of these comics online, so when I saw them compiled in a book I knew I had to buy it. There were several new comics in the book as well, which I greatly enjoyed. I love the art style and the flow of Gillman's stories. I hope they continue creating these new, wonderful queer fairy tales.
