This first issue jumps right in, so if you're unfamiliar with the Runaways this might throw you a bit. We'll see how much backstory we get as it goes on.

My babies are back, I know I'm going to cry...
I actually am grateful that they're the original characters, now I need more.

I only know a little of Runaways from reading Young Avengers comics but so far, so good! I love Rainbow Rowell so I'm excited for this series. I don't know much about the context of this issue, but it was easy enough to understand, and I'm liking the characters so far.

Nice to return to the world of the Runaways! And what a start to Rainbow Rowell's arc, I am pretty sure I would read her shopping list and probably enjoy it.

I've never read the original Runaways by Brian K. Vaughan, this issue, I thought, had slow beginning but still enough climax. I can't wait to see how the the drama and adventure turn out!

Btat2018 read number five! This fulfills the challenge of read about something you want to do, which in my case are illustrations.
I guess I’m kind of cheating in how short this one is. Up to now I’ve been reading full length novels, so I thought I’d give myself a break with this volume I found at the thrift shop.
I don’t really have much to say nor am I going to give this a rating. It’s pretty obvious I’m missing a lot of backstory, as this is my first comic, so I’m not sure if things become easier to understand with later issues or if I was supposed to read previous series of the Runaways by different authors???
Either way I think I learned my lesson. From now on I’ll only buy bind ups of comics rather than individual issues as I think that’ll be easier to follow.

I’ve never read Runaways before. Rowell’s story is lacking, but I expect that is because she was just setting up future events.

Coming into this series completely blind. I only know Nico from the "girl gang" series. An interesting start, I'll give it a few more issues before I make any hard judgements.
