Two years after his death, Greyson and Finley are still coming to grips with what happened and the void that Marcus left behind. Now a single mother to her daughter Maple, with whom she was pregnant at the time of her husband's death, Finley is forced to provide the best possible life for both of them and she's willing to do whatever is necessary--even taking of her clothes in a strip club. And it's in a strip club that Grey finds her. His physical reaction to his best friend's widow notwithstanding, Grey isn't thrilled about Finley being a stripper and he makes it his mission to help Finley and Maple out in whatever way she'll allow him to. Fin hates Grey but he's determined to earn her trust, and maybe, just maybe, win her love.

This was such a good story, one that built slowly, giving more credence to what was developing between Grey and Fin. Greyson piqued my curiosity in the first book and he was actually my favorite character then, even if he was only a secondary one, and now that I know much more about his story, my original opinion of the guy has risen higher. I love how caring and protective he is of not just Finley but of little Maple as well. I understood why Finley was resistant to anything Greyson had to offer, and the story did play out better with her not immediately falling for him. This book brought a tear to my eye more than once and it's definitely a swoon-worthy winner as far as I'm concerned. Slow & Steady receives 4.5 stars, rounded off to five stars. ♥

I adore this book and the characters in it. Greyson is completely swoonworthy and Finley while frustrating at times is so admirable. She goes through so much and is so strong. The story is sweet and sexy and just as the title implies. The build up is excruciating in the best possible way. You can feel the tension and the chemistry between the characters. I could not put this book down. The only thing I would say about this book is I wanted more. I have loved everything I have read so far of Kendall Ryan's and I can't wait to read more.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 1/2 stars

Let me start with I skipped book one... But I loved this one.

The h is a hard workin single mom who is a widow. Who is sassy and fighting the desire to move on. Especially with the man she blamed for her husbands death( oh the drama) the H is sexy as heck and just the right amount of alpha and honest. When he remembers he has a back bone he uses it and doesn't let go.

The angst in the book is honestly low and understandable. The wall these two have to break down is a big one but once they let each other it it's sweet.

Would I read it again? Maybe. But all in all it was a good book

Slow & Steady is the second standalone story in the Alphas Undone series from Kendall Ryan. This book was quick and sweet, and there was a lot to enjoy here. I did have a few things that kept me from absolutely loving this story, but overall it was a decent book.

Looking to forget about everything about his horrible day, Greyson Archer heads to the local strip club for a night out. The last thing he expects is to find out that the gorgeous woman on stage is someone he knows! He last saw Finley at her husbands funeral when she was pregnant and telling him how Marcus's death was all his fault. Determined to do whatever he can to help her now, Grey tries to offer his support, but Finley wants nothing to do with him. But Grey isn't willing to take no for an answer and will do whatever it takes to help out her and her daughter. But when helping out his friend's widow and daughter turns into more, can he convince her to let him in?

I liked Finley and Greyson. Grey was a great guy, protective and sweet. He was really thoughtful and I loved how he was with Maple right from the start. He wanted to help Finley, but he also knew how strong and capable she was. He didn't try to do everything for her, but rather wanted to do everything he could to help her at her side and I absolutely loved that about him. Finley was strong and her daughter was her top priority. I did have a few issues with her and her stubbornness in this story, and there were a few times that I just wanted to shake her. But I did like her and was glad to see her begin to realize that Grey was the real deal.

Unfortunately my biggest issue here was that this story was so short, that I felt things weren't given time to fully develop. It didn't feel as though things were fully fleshed out, and I really think that was because of the length. There just wasn't time to do this story or the characters justice. The suspense plot felt a bit contrived. It left me feeling as though Kendall Ryan's heart wasn't fully in this story and was just trying to force things along in the limited amount of pages here. Things were too easily resolved and quickly forgotten, seemingly done to situate Finley and Greyson properly for the ending. Things were just too predictable and run of the mill here. I didn't really feel like there was anything new or different about this one, even though I did like it. But we have all read the story of the single mom becoming a stripper to support her kid and putting up a wall to keep anyone else from ever hurting her again. Same with the suspense plot, even though I won't go into that so as not to spoil it, but suffice it to say I saw that one coming a mile away. Overall, this was a good book and one that went really fast. If you are looking for a quick contemporary read, you might give this one a shot. But if you are looking for something with some depth to it, this one might not be for you.

Kendall Ryan's Slow & Steady was a really good book. I haven't read much by Ms. Ryan, but I was hooked into Greyson and Finley's story from the beginning and didn't want to put it down. I read the book in one sitting and enjoyed every minute of it. Finley was so strong and at times stubborn. Greyson was an alpha male who made me fall for him. I loved his interactions with both Finley and her daughter. This was a good story and I give it a solid 4 stars.

The title says it all!

We get the story of Greyson and Finley in this series.
I enjoyed that from the beginning of this book, we immediately are thrown into the world of Greyson finding Finley again and wanting to understand why she is where she is.

Well developed characters, story flowed & boy did Greyson make me fall for him. Total alpha but he totally won me over with his kindness and just good guy who won't give up to get Finley.

I liked how Finley was a strong independent woman who did what she had to do to make it work for her and her daughter. She was stubborn just as Greyson when it came to taking help but her chemistry with him was off the charts hot.

Enjoyed this story of 2 tortured souls coming together and finding out whether love could be found again.

Quick read

Good, quick book for a car ride or easy vacation read. Who doesn't love alpha men who want to fix everything?!

Slightly disappointing

I've never liked it when a quarter of a downloaded book is full of self promotions, but this story ended at 78%, and it does help with rushed feeling of the book. It was more a novella than a novel.

You don't really get much feeling from Greyson or Finlay, and it really felt like Kendall was rushing to finish this, keeping it short and sweet, but it could've been amazing if more was put into it.
Also, most books want me to keep reading, and anxiously awaiting the next instalment but I'm not, and I don't think I will bother with the next one.

I enjoyed this awhile ago and forgot to leave a review. I always love to watch the journey of the friendship between the main characters. I love to go on the roller coaster ride of emotions. I also go into every story wanting to be surprised so will not be revealing anything in my review. There are twist and turns and that is what makes a story one that will linger on my heart for awhile.

I’m a big fan of Kendall Ryan and I read all of her books! They are all wonderful, exciting, intriguing stories. I also typically finish them in a few hours in one sitting! Slow & Steady is the second book in Alpha's Undone Series. We met Greyson in Bait & Switch so we know he's a tortured soul. He blames himself for the death of his best friend on a mission that went wrong. Marcus left behind a gorgeous wife who Greyson knew before the tragedy. Unfortunately she also blames him, so he was never allowed to apologize. When he sees Finley, Marcus's widow, he can't help but want to help her. He knows she has a baby so he keeps showing up with food and offering help. Finley is extremely proud and doesn’t want to accept any help, especially from Grey. She still blames him for her husband's death and she can't stand him. But, she really needs the help and finally gives in and lets him come over and see her daughter and bring them dinner a few days a week. After a few months, Grey can't help but admit he's fallen for her. Things start to heat up, but Finley can't get over the guilt even though she's softening to Grey and doesn't really blame him anymore. Grey walks away and he's miserable. He's reminded that he never gives up so he goes after her only to find something's not right. Will Grey save Finley before it's too late? Will Finley realize she has room to love again? I enjoyed this story! Everyone deserves a second chance at love, you just have to open your heart!

Now that he'd touched me, though, I couldn't stand the idea of never feeling him again.

Damn his stupid sexy voice, telling me exactly what I wanted to hear.
