Great black representation, southern culture, excellent stylish fat woman who is much appreciated. Involved family, gumbo, foodies, baseball.

So much fucking misogyny! Lawsuits galore should be happening. Also dead parents, infertility, alcoholism, driving drunk.

I liked the plus sized love story. I liked that Ari knew her worth at work and within herself. With Ari and Porter being their forties you expected a bit more maturity and there were times when the dialogue felt like they were trying to prove their blackness.

This is a great love story. The spice is something serious. Great read.

This was alright, it was okay. I’m here for the plus size rep and loved the way Porter adored Ari. I'm not here for the semi insta-love and Ari repeatedly fighting the relationship because of what happened before. Also, they were 40+ years old but read a lot younger

Overall, this was a good time. It was light and moved well. I loved that the characters were in their 40s. It’s likely just rather forgettable for me
