I really wanted to like this book more. I did but the pacing was terrible and characters not very likable. Also, this read more like women's fiction with romance elements not a full on romance. The author does touch upon some good topics but they didn't feel very well fleshed out.

I grew up in Atlanta and this book really made me feel like I was back there. I absolutely loved it. You can tell the author knows Atlanta. Such a cute book.

A Vibe!
I really enjoyed this book. It was funny and romantic. Porter’s instant attraction to Ari was so cute. Their reservations about getting into a workplace romance added the right amount of angst to the storyline. Their chemistry was so good. I was rooting for them. I loved the HBCU representation throughout the book. The city of Atlanta was well represented. It felt like the city was its own character. My only disappointment was the rough patch that the couple went through. I’m never a fan of that romance trope, so it took away from the 5 star rating that I planned to give. This is the second book that I’ve read from this author. She has definitely made me a fan of her work. She writes funny, relatable stories with great character development.

This was such a great read. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars because there were several typos that were missed in editing. Other than that the characters had great chemistry and the intimacy was truly well written. I’d love to see more from this Author or a continuation of this couple or maybe other characters from this book.

It took a lot longer than it usually would for me to read a book this length. I was frustrated that the author didn’t go into detail about certain things. I would’ve loved to learn more about Porter’s background. The relationship also felt a bit rushed. Overall it was a really cute book and a good way to ease into my 2024 reading challenge.
