Age gap. Morales. Secrecy.

I want to start out by saying that my three stars do not mean that I do not recommend this book. I devoured this book in less than 24 hours. Every page begged me to read on. I chose this book to get me out of a 4 month long reading slump and it did just that.

The slow burn for the first 250 pages killed me. I wanted more and at some point I found myself NEEDING more. Though, I feel I have to point out that I appreciate the authors detail in story building and you definitely fall in love with the fmc within a few chapters. The spice in this book was great, when it was there, though I expected more.

But I will end this by saying I definitely do not regret picking up this book and it will be a reread for me at some point.

i shouldnt have enjoyed this as much as i did... has nsfw content, btw! the age gap was... crazy but why'd i actually root for them ?? miss penelope made characters that were so easy to relate to & get attached to. cole :( im glad he got his good ending !! & man i loved pike more than i should've... idk. did i cry bc im a hopeless romantic? yes. i can understand why penelope is so popular altho there were some lines that made me giggle bc i couldn't take it seriously. also,,, im ngl... miss jordan giving pike an ultimatum irked me but that's always just been something i hate! anyway. it's a fun read. is it maybe problematic bc of the age gap (19 & 38) maybe? whatever. it's an entertaining read!

I couldn’t bear the sex scenes bro 😭. The slaps on the butt and the spankings were too much for me ☹️. But I’m js not into that. The sex scenes were hard for me to get through but whatever (that’s just my personal opinion)
