i didn’t know much about Britney Spears before the book, never really listened to her music etc. But now i have so much sympathy for her and what she’s been through.

The writing style felt rushed and choppy. However her story is sad as she experienced abuse at the hands of her family, all for financial gain. She might not had enough time to process everything after her conservatorship ended. Hope she can find healing.

A harrowing, painful, yet sweet and chipper dive into the mind of one of this generation's great pop queens. The story we needed to have told all these years of controversy and gossip, an inside glance at her career and adventures – and yes, Blackout IS her greatest album, I'm glad I agree with the author – which determines a definite skip forward in the cultural moment and the way we look at celebrities.
