I originally picked this book up because the cover looked cute and the main character shared my name. I was a nice, quick read. Katrina is a girl who's not good at anything which is easy to relate with. I liked the characters, but I didn't love them.

When the whole angel aspect came in it was kind of weird because the book wasn't really about that at first, but it ended up being okay.

Overall, I enjoyed it, and you can read it in an afternoon.
I would recommend it.

The beginning was a bit slow but once I got past that I sped through this book! It was absolutely adorable and the perfect lazy afternoon read.

After her parents' deaths Katrina lives with her grandmother over their small coffee shop. She has good friends and a rival coffeehouse next door that is driving her grandmother out of business. One day she discovers a strange man in the alley behind the shop, after giving him something to eat he claims he is an angel who must reward her kindness with a wish. Is he for real? If so, what will she wish for? A touching and beautiful story of self discovery. A Reader's Corner highly recommended read.

Re-read! Originally 5 stars, but apparently I've changed a bit because I've lowered it to 4! But I would still recommend this book to any teenager feeling like the world is against them and nothing is going right! I know this book will always be a favorite!

At first, I thought this was going to be a predictable type of story. Thankfully I was wrong. The story played out much more differently than I imagined. If you're looking for a good read before Christmas, you might want to consider this one. While there really isn't a ton of emphasis on the upcoming holiday, there is a theme of helping those less fortunate.

Interesting characters, relationships, and setting. I was confused on exactly where the setting was located (could not figure out if it was in the United States or in Europe), but it was still a fun and unique-sounding place. The romance was also much more realistic than I was expecting.

While this story was lighthearted on the surface, there were some darker things below, which I really liked. Definitely wasn't expecting the twist at the end. This book made me want coffee.

Pretty good--3.5 stars.

Loved this book!! Coffeehouse Angel is such a sweet book and the plot is so freaking adorable!

What I enjoyed about Coffeehouse Angel is definitely the plot and the characters which is like, basically everything! Haha.

Anyway, the storyline is totally unique and inspiring. Katrina helps a “homeless” guy who ends up being an angel and ends up trying to repay Katrina for her selfless kindness. What amazed me was the fact that despite all his pushiness in trying to repay her back, she absolutely refused on every account. If it was me, I would totally be like “ok, my deepest desire is to get rich…quick!” and swallow the coffee bean immediately. But then again, it’s not me. :( And why is it inspiring? Because the fact that she did a selfless act to a random stranger is inspiring. You never know if the person you helped was actually a guardian angel! Plus, it’ll be good if everyone started to help each other out. It might actually change the world from being a selfish world into a selfless world. A pretty good incentive, right?

And the characters were adorable and sometimes, confusing. Katrina’s best guy friend, Vince, is pretty confusing. I couldn’t really tell if he had a crush on Katrina or if he really liked that Java Heaven girl because one minute he seemed jealous when Malcolm was over at her house and another minute he would be all over the Java Heaven girl. I had assumed that Vince would be utterly in love with Katrina and Katrina would find that she too was in love with him and then Malcolm would totally figure that out and make that romance a success. And yes, you guessed correctly, I was wrong…again!

Katrina is the total do-gooder. I mean, you could totally tell with the way she gave coffee and pastries to a random stranger, right? But she’s so cute in the things she does. She’s just like a normal teenager – confused about what she actually wants and that’s what made me relate to her.

And Malcolm. Sigh. He’s like the embodiment of a Greek god - just yummy. And he talks like a gentlemen. How many guys do you know that speaks like that??? None. I utterly adored him and totally wish I can have him for myself. Why is life so unfair? :P

Overall, Coffeehouse Angel is SO CUTE. I loved it and can’t wait to see what other goodies Suzanne will come up with!
