Super intense and high-stakes. There were a couple of moments I got so into it I forgot to breathe. However everyone who knows me knows I'm the type to get super stressed out while reading stuff like this so while it's probably objectively five stars I'm giving it four and a half for the emotional damage it gave me lol. Excited to see more of Mitsuri and Tokito!

The battle at the Swordsmith Village is underway, and this is where everything kinda clicks into place that this is another level battle. Genya becomes my favorite character here, and his journey through the series moved me so much. Kanroji and Tokitō are fantastic additions to this arc, and getting to see so much action for such an important location is so tense. This is only the start of the battle, and more continues over the next couple of volumes.

the way this series will give u a characters intense emotional backstory get you all attached and then immediately kill them is CRAZY and i fall for it everytime <3 im crying
