Me ha gustado muchísimo al igual que la primera parte de sus memorias (Apegos Feroces) pero por motivos distintos. Sí en la primera las relaciones personales entre ella y su madre/amantes/amigos es lo fundamental, en la segunda es la ciudad de Nueva York y las diferentes voces en forma de anécdotas lo que crea una visión femenina y de “mujer singular" sobre la ciudad. Todo con su estilo inteligente, irónico y elegante y con una particular voz que es muy reconocible. Precioso.

Not quite sure why several times when she was describing a negative encounter she decided to tell the reader the person she was having this encounter with was black while positive encounters came with no mention of the race of the person she was encountering. This felt like it was written by someone who would say “You’re too young to understand “ to anyone who tried to challenge her.
