This book reminded me why I love friends to lovers so much. It was so honest and raw.

Poppy and Alex have such a beautiful connection and this book definitely represents right person wrong time. Miscommunication trope is a thing in this book but it worked so well because the reader doesn’t know what actually moments are until it all connects in the past chapters and it was so well done and weaved together perfectly. It was not overused or done in a repetitive way, but more in a sense of being afraid to say anything due to the fear of losing each other

I loved Poppy as a character and Alex has set my expectations higher for the level of care and love in a relationship.

This is definitely one of my top books of the year and I cannot wait to read Emily Henry’s other books!!

It’s unputdownable! It’s light! So romcommy!
And the author has a way of revealing just enough as we move along in the story. The suspense is just the right amount—it’s not like it’s dragged or obvious or not lucrative enough.
However, the ending missed the mark for me and the build up did not end with anything worthy of it.

It’s currently 2:42am and I have finally finished this after hearing so many raving reviews and recs.

I have sobbed, laughed, and felt so moved!

This really crafted and broke down “that funny feeling” you know and I could see myself in both Poppy and Alex.

I am a strong believer that art comes to us when we need it and this book is no exception.

This also jus touched on loneliness and mental health and purpose and growing in a way that I rarely see it portrayed. And it really hit the nail on the head gosh I feel like this will be the kind of story I’ll mull over for years to come.
