A richly imagined retelling of The Twelve Dancing Princesses that will appeal to many of Shannon Hale's and Gale Carson Levine's fans. I would have enjoyed it more if the storyline had been tightened up a bit... several areas where it just seemed to get bogged down before it picked up speed again.

I was going to give three stars , but decided to just go ahead with four. In my opinion this book didn't start out to great. I almost regretted buying it because it became so boring during the first half. It finally peaked my interest when they meet keeper and would dance every night in the pavilion. I wish that keeper didn't die in such a un-unique way. It would of been awesome if they had found a way for him to be banished back into the walls.

Entwined is an adorable fairy tale that is full of laughter, excitement, love and mystery. It will keep you wondering what could possibly happen between the twelve darling princesses in their journey of accidental introductions to magic.

Personally, I loved it. It was precious and innocent with spark and personality.

*Edited to add a star* This was more fun than I gave it credit for.
