Better than second. I wish there was more interaction between FMC and MMC. Maybe in the next book.

Incredible ending!  The Desperate Quest is a thrilling sequel to the Luckless as the danger intensifies and the stakes continue to grow. The group has more of a bond to work off of which leads to lots of laughter and epic group collaboration. All of the warm friendship feels. The world-building continues to be absolutely incredible and engaging. There are so many exciting new adventures in this book. The ending was incredibly entertaining and enjoyable to read, not to mention suspenseful. One of the best endings of a second book in a series ever. The Desperate Quest would be an enjoyable read for those who like lighthearted adventure, strong and humorous group dynamics, a little bit of clean romance, LitRPG books (though can be enjoyed even if you don't normally like those), creative and easy to understand world-building, and lots of laughs.

I loved this book! Progress in the overall plot without things being too easy or too neat. Huge fan.

This was a fun reread! I quite like Kit and Solus Miles, as well as the rest of the gang. On to book 3!

wow - definitely a huge rise from #1 to #2. The fellowship develops a very nice team dynamic between the members, the addition of the monk is fine and the part between Kit and Miles is just wonderful to see. The quest is good.
Also the tension at the end of the book was well written - I couldn't put the book away even if it was WAYYY after my time - but I wouldn't have slept anyway if i didn't know how the second book ends.
Only little drawback was the end - the game companies actions and the helpless GMs don't really make sense for me. If the GMs are only needed to heal Kit's reputation with the different parties then it would have been enough to explain that as the outcome to slay the big evil servant.
Anyway - this book is a lot tighter than the first one and I recommend it!

Sooo good!

This series is exactly what I’ve been in the mood for. Kit is a great character and her skill in tactics is super entertaining.

The Desperate Quest is even better than the first book.

The Desperate Quest is above all else a fun read that consistently made me smile. It is packed full of humorous quips, banter and wonderful interactions between the characters.

Speaking of characters: The Desperate Quest is filled to the brim with interesting characters with unique personalities. Their personalities are clearly on display in all of their actions, whether it is in the middle of a battle or while they are resting at a campsite. The main character Kit is absolutely amazing, She is intelligent, funny and a great leader!

A.M. Sohma's writing style is also lovely! It is easy and quick to read. She also keeps the reader engaged throughout the entire book. There is never a boring moment.
