Closer to 3.5 but only because some rando said you can read this series as stand-alones. Which may be possible, but for the first 1/2 of this one I felt like I wasn’t in on “the joke.”
I pictured Christopher Moore giggling to himself as he wrote this, which made me smile. My goal is to read all The Moores and this one was a nice light snack to distract me from THE HOLIDAYS.
Will it change your life? No. Will it make you smile? I hope so! And I’d love to read more about Pine Cove and it’s shenanigans.
“Merry Christmas, you filthy animals!”

A twisted christmas tale. It's one of those where you laugh when you read it and as soon as you put it down you say, "what the **** did I just read?":)

I can't believe It's possible to say this about a Christopher Moore novel, but The Stupedest Angels is over the top.
The characters are taken so far they are no longer sympathetic, some are psychopaths and some are pathetic.
Theo is the only one left with any shred of decency.
Read the other Pine Cove novels, they are so much better.

I always think Christopher Moore's writing is very funny, but in this one I think he took the story a bit too far and I just couldn't follow along with it. The characters are all quirky and funny as are the situations they find themselves in but ***SPOILER*** he really lost me when he introduced the zombies... By the end of the book it all worked itself out okay and made sense, but that was a bit to trippy for me. Anyways, I really liked the pot-smoking cop who is married to a psychotic woman off her meds... but the dog (and his point of view) was my favorite.
Entertaining Christmas tale. I could see Pine Cove as a fun tv show. 3 1/2 stars.
Christopher Moores books are always good for a grin. This one does not disappoint.
When Christopher Moore gets it right, its really right. Loved this quick little Christmas book- laughed out loud and loved the characters, especially Molly.

Typical Christopher Moore, funny and highly inappropriate. I love how he brings in characters from previous books into this story. And a stupid angel? Perfect.
