This was a very cute read. While at times it was hard to listen to Carmen continue to complain without a lot of action being taken, I think that the overall tone was very consistent with actual teenage emotions. This was the second chance at love for the pair of exes, and despite the characters inner reservations they seemed to develop feelings again pretty fast. I also loved getting to watch the antics surrounding being a party princess and prepping for a Quinceañera.

I wasn’t really enjoying this at first, but once I got to know the characters a little more I started to enjoy it. The characters are unlikable at first, but once you learn about them(and they are teenagers) it makes sense. I did like all the issues discussed like stereotypes and family. I thought the romance was cute. SLIGHT SPOILER I do have to say I would be mad if my cousin started dating a guy I liked and had dated but that’s just me.
