I really enjoy the applications of systems thinking to the world. The only downside is that the writing isn’t so fabulous, but it definitely delivers its purpose as a primer.

One Thought, One System

This was a really interesting and great book on systems thinking.

It covered a wide range of different systems and detailed a lot of really interesting bits about this type of model.

The author was very detailed and descriptive in their definitions and examples and I really got a lot out of it.

It was a little basic at times but I felt that it was a really important read for those in IT or business analysis - such as me.

A great book for those in computer science.

Been meaning to read this for a while. Enjoyed it. Shorter than expected, which is good thing. Some thought provoking examples illustrating how some simple rules can led to complex systems. Like the parts about importance of delay and feedback.

Surprised author was so anti-growth. Guess she was boomer who couldn't conceive of economic growth that didn't involve machines and fossil fuels. Too bad. I wonder what she would make of the Internet and AI?

Reread for me. Always valuable to change the frame of thinking.

will revisit after chewing and digesting. Dana moonlights the MIT systems lab and Jay Forrester a lot
