Audiobook. It was a good western horror story. It was a bit heavy on the gore in some parts, but it didn't bother me too much. The narrator was fine although they had some odd pronunciations for words, but that was easily forgiven. The only other thing for me was it was tough to keep track of the characters (who they were, what they did) it seemed like there were a few too many to keep track of. Otherwise, I enjoyed it and I might pick up the hard copy.

Perhaps Triana's best novel. Blending cosmic horror with brutal gory nightmarish evil, this had me gasping for air.

You  could be forgiven  for thinking a 500 page Splatter Western  written by  an author who has made his name writing 200 page Extreme Horror novels   might be one to avoid. You  would be totally mistaken. 'The Thirteenth Koyote'  is a very  impressive piece of fiction that  brings together  an unlikely group of heroes  battling  a vicious company  of part man part wolf outlaws. It  is so easy  to see it  as a movie made in the style of John Carpenter’s  'Vampires' or maybe Rodriguez's "From Dusk to Dawn'. Maybe it has a few too many  characters and is just  a little too long, but it is still an excellent extreme horror western that is certainly entertaining.  Be  forewarned!   It  is extreme.

This was brutal. And I mean, REALLY brutal. I honestly wasn't expecting the massive amount of violence and cruelty I found while going through this book. Let me be as clear as I can: whereas [a:Edward Lee|58997|Edward Lee|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1264699422p2/58997.jpg]'s brutality is nothing but the blackest sort of tongue-in-cheek humour, Triana's dead serious, he doesn't fuck around and goes for the throat. Some bits literally hit me like a ton of bricks...picture me going "oh shit no, no, no, no, please, no."
