✨ARC Review

I don't think I was always sure how I felt about the writing style, for me it felt like it leaned a bit YA in tone with adult themes, which made it feel a little uneven at times, but the emotional ride.story itself pulled me in and kept me invested.

The build-up was definitely on the slowside, but when they finally got together, the payoff was relatively satisfying. The will-they-won’t-they tension gave way to something tender, vulnerable, and intimate. While I don’t think the book is perfect by any means, I was engaged by the characters and found myself wanting more for them.

It also doesn’t shy away from heavier topics. There’s a strong emotional thread around grief, identity, and learning how to show up for the people you love. It’s not always pretty, but it feels real.

And yes—I’m so grateful that it gave me a true HEA, it didn't always feel like they were going to have it (I thought we were treading into a non traditional hea for a minute there). I needed that. The ending felt grounded and earned, not too glossy, but still hopeful.

Overall, TMD was okay. It was too high school level for me in general, but I also feel like maybe it was intentional to have them be semi emotionally stunted due to the trauma of unresolved bullying?

I loved this so much from start to finish.

Absolutely loved this book it was incredible, I couldn’t put it down

"Truly Madly Deeply" felt like diving into my favorite 90s playlist while hanging out with the cast of "The Bear."

Row, classically stoic and always grumpy, perfectly balances Cal's forever quirky personality, creating a dynamic that kept me hooked.

I love that Row has always protected Cal and don’t get me started with McMonster {le sigh}. I also like how Leigh explored themes of love, loss and self-discovery without feeling too heavy.

Plus, I can't help but wonder if Kieran and Dylan will get their own book
emotional lighthearted medium-paced

*Swoon* Row Casablancas is a high quality book boyfriend. This was a fun read. It was all pretty unrealistic, but who cares- it served it's purpose as a silly little romance book. Cal pissed me off majorly at times and Row was a bit ~too~ whipped, dare I say, but I still lived for them together.
