Ok, so for a book I didn't remember much about,in re-read this was very good. I think I appreciate it a lot more this time around because I read the 2 book that come before it and know the characters. This is classified as romance but as the romance has been going on for the last 2 books before it, it is really the over arc. There is a definite mystery and then the character driven plot centers around the relationships of, of course Lavina and Tobias, but then also their wards, and then a couple of other characters come into play to the whole. Those might keep a person wanting to get a romance satisfied but I cannot see them totally happy. I think that might be the reasons for the lower ratings. I came in expecting a mystery and more of my many favorite characters and I got that and more. Definitely the best of the series and a great culmination... Though I wouldn't mind reading on, even if it were in some of the side characters lives.

First time I loved an Amanda Quick, or Jane Castle (Krentz) novella.

---------while reading update-------------
Definitely realize this is the book that I've read before. Probably close to the publishing date so over 10 years. I knew when I read the first book in the series that the characters seemed very familiar. I've enjoyed the series and am interested in seeing where this goes again. I am remembering scenes right before they happen, so probably won't be surprised in the end but do not remember the ending at this point.

"Da bi se ostvarili, neki su snovi vrijedni poduzetog rizika." Lijep završetak trilogije, s kojim se apsolutno slažem.

March and Lake make for a very interesting pair of sleuths.I have read Slightly Shady and had loved the mystery in that and Amanda Quick has not disappointed in this too.The story starts off with a death during a house party and from then on was a very enjoyable ride with superb twists and turns. Would love to finish of the series, hopefully soon.

Was running out of steam with this series, consequently it did not hold my attention and I ended up skimming a lot.

Wasn't sure how I'd feel about following the same hero & heroine through three books, but this trilogy worked. I liked each book better than the last! :)

Book 1 - Slightly Shady
Book 2 - Don't Look Back
*be sure to read in order*

This was a very fun and satisfying story. I wish I had read the prior books, but can happily confirm that one can enjoy this without having read its predecessors.
Highlights here include a strong-willed female who does get things right, a good narrator, descriptions that bring to mind strong images without being flowery, and some intriguing murders to investigate.
If you can find at your local library too, then take a chance on this fun find.
