Came across this lovely author on TikTok and decided to give it a go, even though it’s not usually my style of book. I really enjoyed the book at first, but when there were more interactions with the ghosts, it lost me a little. It handled a lot of serious a tricky subjects really well, but even due a ghost story Leigh’s actions became a little unbelievable for me. Happy to have tried something out of my comfort zone, though!

I’m also here from TikTok, was definitely drawn in by how kind this new author seemed to be and I wanted to support. This was a good mystery with some surprise twists at the end. This was a great debut novel, there was some room for growth in the authors writing but no shame in that. Aside from a handful of grammatical errors I had no issues with this book, it was enjoyable and I look forward to future books from those author.

5/5⭐️ Wow, just wow. I, like millions of others, found out about this book via Tiktok. While I knew I would support the author, I was worried I wouldn’t be super into this book. I am so so happy to say, I couldn’t have been more wrong.

This book is amazing. I was left always wanting to keep reading, only putting the book down when it could no longer keep my eyes open! The character development was beautiful, the twists were amazing, and the overall themes of grief, mental health, and unconditional love were wonderful. As a therapist myself, I felt that this book tackled some big themes in an accurate but also respectful way. The emotional journey this took me on was really amazing. I can’t wait to see if Leigh’s journey continues on in another book, but if not, this is still an amazing standalone.

I’m so happy that tiktok and booktok was able to bring light to this indie authors story. I hope that continues to happen.

Like so many others, social media brought this book to my attention. It's not what I would normally pick up and read, although not totally out of left field for me.

I was worried that I wouldn't like this story, and for the most part I really ended up liking it. I actually ended up loving the ghosts more than any of the other characters

I found this book on Tiktok and bought it right away. I LOVE mystery and paranormal books so this was perfect! I really love how many twists and how much action was packed into the book. I can’t wait to read more from Shawn, I think his paranormal writing is SO strong. Can’t wait to see what he does next!

It was a cute story but sometimes it was annoying with the choices that the main character was making. I liked, maybe recommend to some one.

Leigh Howard is forced to live with her rich older cousins after the murder of her parents. She soon befriends a ghost who helps her find her parents' killer.
I saw the video on tiktok about this author and decided to read it. I'm glad I did. I enjoyed his writing style, and the book kept me engaged.

Like so many of the other reviewers, I saw the story on the news where a complete stranger helped a struggling writer when no one showed up for his signing event. I went out to Amazon and immediately read the synopsis and realized that this was a book that I would normally read. It did not disappoint, it was so good. Yes, it was a bit YA, but it was a light, easy, and engaging read. I'm hooked on this author! I can't wait for more of Leigh!!!!!
