I guess I'm getting a little burned out over this series. These two books took me nearly two months to read, although I was reading other books simultaneously. I've had my ups and downs with it, but now at least Origin's cliffhanger is reigniting my passion.
I'm that type of reader who likes understated romance. Romance that isn't always put into words and overused. So, maybe paranormal romance was not my ideal genre to begin with. Opal (as I remember, I actually read it a month ago) and the majority of Origin has a lot of that touchy-feely romance. If that's your deal, then you'll love it.
What saved the series for me was the end of Origin. The action I originally loved returned and the angst hit full-force. We will see how the last book fares!

I always loved these books by Jennifer and I still love it but I do really hate this cover. I have expected better
