This is a novel that you read to understand how humans took control of rainbow hues. It gives meaning to colours that we see in our everyday life and analyses it through a historical, scientific, social and cultural lens.

This book was so cool!! There are just so many cool facts in here and it never felt too information heavy and was super understandable. I just love the association between art and science that's all throughout this book, I find it fascinating. There was a lot in this book that concerned humans and human nature and culture and a lot of that was just so moving to me. Such a cool read!

This was a cool one to read. There are so many nuggets of knowledge in this book.

There were some societies that didn't have a word for the color blue because it is so rare in nature. The color purple played an important part in the industrial revolution.
