Callan and Cricket had been best friends since grade school, but Callan had secretly crushed on Cricket since high school. He feared he would always be relegated to the friend zone but at least he had her in his life. When Cricket needed somewhere to stay, Callan saw his chance of making his dreams come true.
When Cricket was suddenly diagnosed with a medical problem, she knew her parents would suffocate her with good intentions if she stayed with them. Staying with her best friend would be best until seeing him without his shirt causes her to reconsider her thoughts and feelings about her best friend.
Friend Zone Hell is the third book in the Hellman Brothers series but it was cute as a standalone. It’s a small town, best friends to lovers’ book, one of my favorites. It was fast-paced, entertaining, and straightforward. Callan and Cricket made the perfect couple, and I loved watching their relationship grow into more. After reading this book, I want to go back and read the first two books. I highly recommend this book and hope to see the Hellman brothers again.
I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

The Hellman brothers are full of surprises! Callan and Cricket have been friends since they were kids but Callan has kept his feelings at bay until now. I enjoyed the development of the relationship between these characters. This may be the spiciest book I’ve read from Marika Ray….Callan has another side that doesn’t come out until toward the end of the book….get your fan ready!

How does it keep getting better!

These Hellman brothers, They just keep getting better and better! Callan is just the sweetest (with a wicked sexy side) and the one hiding all his loving feelings towards Cricket in this friends to lovers trope. Their banter is great and I pretty much had hearts in my eyes, while also fanning myself, the whole time reading. I love the brothers’ text thread, lots of laughs there. Just another great addition to the Hellman Brothers and Auburn Hill.

LOVED!

Oh this book was beautiful!

I did not want to stop reading! This is the third book in the series but I didn’t feel lost about the relationships with his brothers or their girls. The author did a very good job weaving in the family’s and the townsfolk quite nicely.

The relationship between Callan and Christine “Cricket” was so sweet! From best friends since childhood to more in the blink of an eye. She had a bit of adjustment but as soon as she realized she was ready to take the relationship farther it pretty much exploded! (In a good way of course)

The spicy times are good also. I would categorize them as about a 3.75 on the pepper scale. Sizzling and always sizzling with the heat ready to be turned up but was never done so on page

The end was very sweet and the epilogue was lovely! I am definitely going to pay closer attention for the release of the last two brothers books.

Friend Zone Hell is the 3rd book in the Hellman Brothers Series by @authormarikaray and focused one of the triplets, Callan.

This was a sweet friends to lovers story between Callan and his longtime best friend Cricket. The two have always been friends but never crossed the line even though it’s clear to most that Callan is in love with Cricket.

When Cricket gets sick and temporarily moves in with Callan everything changes. She starts to see him in a different light, and Callan continues to spoil her. They were an adorable couple, Callan just wanted Cricket to be happy and have all she could ever want (even if it made him a little overbearing at times). Another great Hellman story! Next up Daxon.
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

DNF @ 64%. It’s like the author can’t make up her mind if she wants to be fade to black or open door. Sometimes we get told a sex act happened, or is happening, and other times she goes into some detail, but not enough for me. It’s frustrating, especially as there supposed to be some praise kink and daddy-dom going on.

Didn’t like it enough to want to read any more.

It is said your significant other should be your best friend. It may take some hard times for Callan and Cricket to get there, but their journey is worth the wait! Cal is the person everyone wants as a best friend. He is kind, caring, honest, lovable! I think he may be my favorite Hellman brother... But I think I may have said that every time. They are all awesome! I could say more, but really you should just go read it!

This was my frist read by Marika Ray and I loved it. It’s a sweet yet spicy rom-com. The character build was so well developed that it felt like they were real. This was a charming story with a few ups and downs and a lot of heat and laughs. I love this small town and this family. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for Daxon. Callen having a huge heart and would do anything to make Crickets life better. Cricket had to learn how to stand on her own two feet and be completely independent before she could fully be present in a relationship and Callan was so supportive of her journey. It’s well written and I can’t wait to read more.
