This is one of the most wonderful, Christmas books I have read in awhile.  It is about the people in our lives we love, about chosen family, losing family, and reconnecting with family.  It was refreshing to read a novel about friendship and maintaining friendship while growing up and finding love.  What happens when your best friend gets a job across the country? How do you keep up traditions, and adopt new ones?

This book felt so much like real life, I had so much empathy with the characters.  Their worries, dreams, passions were so palpable and relatable.  And like life, all of the conflicts, the concerns are resolved when everyone communicates.

If you are looking for a Christmas-y story that's not a romance, but still fairly light, I highly recommend The Christmas Orphans Club.

I'm all for a found family/non conventional Christmas/ plutonic love story! I just wasn't convinced these people were actually friends

This took me two tries to get through. I like the friendships. I enjoy the scene of creating your own family. It was hard to get through.

This was very cute, very Hallmark movie coded. The jumping around in the timeline confused me, and I think Priya was overlooked so much, I’m glad she had a go at them all.

Hannah needed a kick up the ass many’s a time, but as someone who can relate to not realising you’ve made bad choices till you’re elbows deep in them, I mean you do think everything is a catastrophe and think the world is against you when really- “it’s me, hi, I’m the problem, it’s me.”

But yeah, fun lil christmassy book

This was in the holiday romance section of the airport bookstore, and it is not so much a romance. It’s a friends as family book. Good holiday read.

This was sweet and i liked that it was a Christmas story about friendship and not so much of a romance
