This novel followed a structure that I've never heard or read before. We follow two half siblings and their children's lives. It felt like reading a short story collection and it takes us through a historical trip. I thought that the beginning of the story was more engaging than the latter chapters. Overall, I would definitely recommend this novel to anyone that wants a historical fiction that follows the life of different generations.

This one blew me away. It was perfect.

Wow

I'm going to have to think some more before writing a coherent review. For now, I'll just say I thoroughly enjoyed the journey of this book.

One of those undeniable 5/5s. Literally read all of the discussion questions in the back of the book and answered them in my head 🤣 Fantastic writing, memorable characters, and just very engrossing - despite the somewhat limited amount of time spent with each generation's story.

Still one of my favorite books ever! Read it for the second time yesterday because I loaned it to a friend and just got it back. I wanted to remind myself of its incredible depth and breadth.
