I actually really liked this storyline, in which past, present AND future collide, each with their own version of what it means to be part of the X-men. I was happy to meet some characters again after so long. Overall the various teams were well handled, although it does get confusing at times.

(This rating is for the entire 10 issue run, spanning multiple comics, in the collected Battle of the Atom book.)

Silly. Redundant. Accomplishes nothing.

Hovering between 2 and 3 stars, this was an event that took much longer than it deserved and disrupted the storylines in other books for no good reason. So, you know, just your average comic crossover event.

Clearly, I am gonna have to listen to a whole lot more Rachel and Miles X-Plain the X-Men, because holy cow, and also I canNOT imagine trying to follow this across multiple books as it came out?! Hoo monkeys.

I feel like this was unnecessarily confusing and trying to overreach in that it didn't overreach at all and ended up being repetitive and boring.

Feels like just another half-assed crossover. Too many characters with next to no time or effort made to flesh out all of the new ones introduced here, everyone fighting everyone for very flimsy reasons finished off with a handful of meh changes to the status quo.

That was wild. Truly wild. I think it broke my brain a bit. That said it was a fun adventure and a real page turner. I just prefer the smaller xmen stories that feature more character moments myself
