My library unfortunately didn't have the first book in the series, but I decided to give it a try. I'm happy I did. The story was easy to follow and the characters effortlessly captivating. If we don't want to keep repeating those atrocities, we need to hear and learn of the journey like theirs and many others.
Thank you to everyone involved in the book.

Fascinating account of a dangerous crossing
Not all migrants want to get to Europe, some would have been content to stay in the Middle East. For many it just isn’t possible and Europe is the only refuge. This is an eye opening account of how one gets to the decision to take one’s infant on a dinghy in the middle of the night on the open sea.

I like the little reflection pieces in this volume. It humanizes the refugee situation.

Un tome 2 toujours aussi passionnant et émouvant, une belle leçon d'entraide (malgré quelques exploiteurs de misère) ... vivement le tome 3 !
