I liked this volume better than the first, I suppose it's because I can relate to it more, part of the family leaving first and the rest following. The sadness of being separated, the frustration of administrative paperwork - these are things I've experienced but without the stress of a war pushing me out. I chose to move for my family's future and so did Hakim.
