This was an interesting retelling of the story of Medusa and Perseus. I wouldn't go as far as saying it's my favorite, but I did enjoy it more than I thought I would. Often times, Greek mythology retellings are a huuuuge hit or miss, especially after you've read what Madeline Miller has to offer. It seems like nothing really compares to such greatness. In this case, I think Hannah Lynn did a fine job. I'm hoping she can give readers even more in the future and rise through the ranks. Overall, Athena's Child is a book I would recommend. I really did enjoy the ending. The confrontation between Medusa and Perseus was unexpected, but extremely refreshing. Lynn did an excellent job portraying Medusa the way she deserves.
