The goals are lofty but ultimately his process makes sense. However, the last chapter is the one that may stay with me for years to come.
This book belongs in every executive's library. In it one can find some great nuggets of wisdom; its timelessly relevant thrust, i.e. determination, is key in any career and should ring especially poignant to millennials. That being said, this book shows its octogenarian age, with long sections devoted to what most executives I know would consider ridiculous spiritualism.
Read it, by all means, but do so with the intent of separating the wheat from the chaff. Suffice it to say, this is not the end-all be-all that it was to my baby boomer dad in the sixties. Great book, maybe skim the last quarter.

I just finished "reading" Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. I was engaged by the initial concepts around thoughts, desire, faith but as the book progressed he lost me in the organized planning section of blessings and opportunities for all when he did not recognize the influence of systemic racism and gender inequality. He completely lost me in the sex transmutation and by then I was just skimming the high level topics. Has anyone else read it? What were your thoughts? Did I miss anything in the last half of the book? It was clearly dated to the time he wrote it and denied all acknowledgement of the equality of women.

I absolutely love this book! SO much information and knowledge, truly incredible. Should be reading this over and over and over again.
Not everything in this classic book by Napoleon Hill holds up to the standards of current insights in human behavior and psychology, but there are quite a few timeless ideas here to implement.
Knowing that you can change the way you think and act yourself, and that having a clear purpose in life and going the extra mile to pursue it can help you accomplish way more than when you resign to a victim mindset without defining what you want to get out of this life.
