This was surprisingly entertaining, considering I haven’t ridden the Journey into Imagination ride because I’ve found Figment to be...kind of irritating. But the back story of the Dreamfinder is really interesting. Definitely looking for Vol. 2.

Another great story in Marvel’s Disney Kingdom’s line. I was never able to experience the old Journey Into Imagination ride at Walt Disney World’s Epcot, so I really went in to this book only knowing of Figment, the small purple dragon.

Marvel created a steampunk-inspired story about the origins of Figment and The Dream Maker, and I found the story to be quite delightful. The moral of the story – being that there are no rules to the imagination – I also found to be endearing, which certainly fits into Walt Disney’s message about being able to be, and do, whatever your dreams desire.

I am giving four stars because I liked the story. The pacing was good, and the art, while not my favorite style, served the atmosphere of the story well. This is a book that I will revisit, and I’ll certainly recommend it to readers looking for certain qualities.

Fun-loving story, a little overly male-oriented, about the power of imagination and friendship.
Some of the art is spotty, characters don't look like themselves, or in one panel, I thought the main character was missing his head.
My thirteen year old son enjoyed it.
My favorite character was the blue androgynous one.

As a fan of Figment, I was excited to read a tale including Dreamfinder. I, unfortunately, was never able to experience the original attraction for myself, but I consider myself pretty well-versed in its mythology and history. This was a fun adventure full of Easter eggs, laughs, and beautiful artwork.

The origin story of a beloved Disney World staple, and one we sorely miss in the modern version of the park.
It's like Toqger's conductor said, it really is all about IMAAAAAAGINATION!

If you're a fan of the Disney character Figment, as I am, then you'll probably enjoy this cute comic that gives Figment and Dreamfinder a steampunk origin story. It's cute, and I enjoyed the art style and characters a lot. There's not much real threat in the story's conflict, but I didn't expect much. (And yes, I heard Figment's voice from the ride at EPCOT quite clearly in my head when I was reading his lines.)

A must for long-time Disney fans. This takes us through Figment's origin in a fun, steampunk graphic novel. I loved it!
