I really don't know what to say about this book. I almost stopped reading it after about 50 pages because I was so bored of it. I also tried to listen to it on audio but it just didn't do it for me. I ended up just plugging through it and finish it up. This whole story was so creepy and the scary thing about it is stuff like this actually happens.

It was kind of interesting the way that the story was narrated by a 5 year old boy (language was hard to understand sometimes but I know, he's 5).

This book kind of reminded me of Such a pretty girl and Living dead girl.

Kind of crazy to find out that this book was nominated by a couple students to be a nominee for the Abraham Lincoln list for next school year.

Not really sure i would recommend this book to anyone.

I am so sad this book is over. I grew so very attached to the characters. I loved every moment of it.

Dark but innocent, with a happy ending, so I'm glad I read till the end.

So good—I have no words on how attached I became of these two characters. This is certainly worth your time and I found myself zooming through it.

This had been on my to read list for so long I never thought I'd get to it. I was worried about how the subject matter would be presented, but it was done in a surprisingly sensitive way. Giving the story Jack's five year old voice was a device that could have been tedious, but instead gave a real insight into how the world might be understood by a young child, and how they try to process the good and the bad around them. Glad I read it.
