I think it’s hard to rate poetry collections because each can exist fully on its own apart from the others. This collection is very fierce and hurts a little to read. But that’s what all good poetry is, it hurts reading it, knowing someone wrote down their truth in such a way, knowing this is the only way they could share their pain and story. Amber Flame wrote a beautifully painful collection and I suggest you pick it up.
